Time: Jan 5th - Jan 15th, 2008 Destination: Kathmandu, Nepal (more info) Team: 11 Ukrainians, 2 Brits (more info) Description 1, Jan 7-10: Organizing and leading children/youth camp for Nepali missionary children. The camp had about 35 children, ages from 2 till 18. We broke up into 4 teams, thus leading four minicamps: ages 2-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-18. We offered daycare from 7am till 9pm! The missionaries and thus their children were mostly from UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and US. This is the first time in the history of our country that a team Ukraine was serving particularly US and UK missionaries. Description 2, Jan 10-13: Painting project with Nepali house for disabled children. The house had walls painted with lead-intensive paint, which caused various sicknesses. We washed and repainted all rooms and corridors with healthy "children-friendly" paint.
